1948 Chevrolet Thriftmaster Resto Mod. Beautiful custom truck with a killer look and the perfect stance! Truck is powered by a 393 Stroker with an Edelbrock Intake and Fitech fuel injection, with lots and lots of show chrome and billet aluminium parts including a chromed alternator and chromed A/C compressor! Yep, this one looks hot but keeps you cool while cruising. Behind all that is a TH-400. To put the power to the ground and corner nicely is a 4-link set up out back with coil overs, and tubular set up with coil-overs and rack and pinion steering. 4-wheel disc brakes all around bring things to a quick stop. The firewall was shaved during the restoration and there’s even hydraulic billet hood hinges. Thanks to the coil overs, the stance of the truck is just awesome with the truck just low enough to look right but not rub. Paint is a 9 out of 10 with a great color, and lots of fresh chrome up front. The Interior has been well customed with dual 8-way power bucket seats in grey leather with matching center console. A Lokar shifter has been dropped into the console along with speakers, and the back of the cab has a sub and speakers custom molded in as well. The dash features an aftermarket A/C vent and controls set up along with new classic instruments. Even the headliner is matching grey leather. Door panels are custom molded as well. An Ididit chromed column and steering wheel fit the style perfectly and a relatively short column was used maximizing interior space for the driver. The truck has been through the shop and the kinks worked out. Nice driver with great handling and a great look! One of Rod’s favourite trucks in the showroom! Just 900 miles on the odometer since the build was completed.
