1951 Chevrolet 1500 custom. Riding on a ’95 Chevrolet 1-ton 2WD dually frame with a 5.9-liter Cummins 12 valve under the hood backed by a rebuilt 5-speed manual transmission with a new clutch. To make it all work, the diff was shortened and the box and tailgate were widened 10 inches. The box is actually wedge shaped now, wider at the rear than the front with wheel tubs to accommodate the dual rear tires, but it all looks very cool.  The frame has custom square tubing with 4-link suspension that all starts just behind the cab. It rides on air now too! New wiring and gauges, stereo, leather bucket seats, console and carpets. New exhaust, aluminum rad and running dual batteries. Great patina on the entire truck. Definitely a heavy hauler that could double as a Cars and Coffee showstopper and tow-rig all in one! Runs fantastically and drives very well. We will likely install a new steering column with tilt and a more averaged size wheel to better accommodate taller drivers if we get the chance. The factory sized wheel is rather large for the cabin size and unnecessary now that there’s power steering. Dual leather power seats work and there’s a modern stereo too. Milage is unknown. Diff cover with tow ball in the bed is just for show, and accommodates the real differential when air is let out of the rear bags.
