1973 GMC Suburban Custom 2wd. This one is pretty neat! Yep, it's a real fire truck and bought new in Eston Saskatchewan at Owens and Sweitzer dealership. This one was ordered in the lime-yellow Fire equipment color right from the factory and it's still wearing that factory paint! Some patina showing, but it's a solid truck with nice chrome and bright work. Apparently, it belonged to the Eston fire department for years and the stenciled red paint is still on both front doors. Very original truck with little modifications with the exception of the suspension lowering kit, and a new set of wheels and tires. 350 V8 4-bbl with a 3-speed transmission. Pretty basic work truck with vinyl floors, manual everything, a heater, radio and basic gauges. Engine basics have been gone through with new parts as required like the master cylinder and fuel pump. Front inner fenders have been removed to make room for the lowering. This truck would make a sweet summer daily driver, to haul kids and stuff around effortlessly! Super cool and very original. Truck shows 90,000 miles on the odometer, which is believed to be true, but of course not guaranteed with a 5-digit odometer. New headers, full dual exhaust, seat covers and brand new chrome rear bumper have just been installed making this truck ready for the road! Nice price point to get into the classic car hobby with a truck that’s got some real history!
