2003 Ford Ranger SLP Thunderbolt, Ext Cab 2WD. One of just 800 produced by Ford in 2003 across all of North America. Considering how few were made, there’s likely very few left in this kind of condition! 176,926 kms on the workhorse 4.0-liter SOCH V6 backed by a 4-speed automatic but considering that it spent most of it’s life in British Columbia, it’s led a charmed, rust free life! (came to SK in April of 2025). This isn’t just any Thunderbolt, it’s the Level 4 (top level) meaning that it has almost all of the available options including: Non functional hood scoop, monochromatic grille and front bumper, monochromatic fascia extension, side body cladding and rear roll-pan, three exterior thunderbolt badges, thunderbolt headrest appliques, performance package (under hood cold-air intake, cat-back dual exhaust with dual tips that adds 8 hp), handling package with larger front and rear stabilizer bars, front fascia fog lamps, hard tonneau cover, thunderbolt side body bolt in yellow, brushed aluminum instrument panel insert and front floor mats with thunderbolt logo. This is all on top of this being an XLT to start with! That means bucket seats with dual consoles and armrest, Power windows and Locks, Air conditioning (working great), tilt wheel, cruise control, variable delay wipers sliding rear window and keyless entry. The truck has both factory keys and fobs. There are full gauges, and being an extended cab, it also has dual opening rear doors and jump seats that are really only suitable for children. A new double-din touchscreen Bluetooth stereo has been installed with car play and Android Auto, but not to worry, the factory unit comes with the truck. Also included are the original owner’s manual kit and two very hard to find Thunderbolt specific brochures from the Ford dealer outlining all the options available on the truck. Now let’s talk condition. This truck is incredible. It’s almost 20 years old, but you’d swear it’s only 5 years old. The paint is in very nice condition and factory original with the exception of the inside of the box – that has been repainted. Under the hood is very clean and mess free. The interior is immaculate with no wear and tear anywhere. There’s no cracks or damaged plastics and it’s clear this Ranger has spent Its years away from the sun and elements. Tires are still good too. It’s very obvious that any previous owners took extreme care of this truck. Rightly so, as it’s a very rare unit! Hard to find any Ranger of this era in this kind of shape, let alone a collector’s edition like this Thunderbolt!
