2009 Jaguar XKR – one aggressive black cat. One of the sexiest bodies in our showroom thanks to wide rear hips and sleek styling that reminds us of an Aston Martin in an instant. This car was sold new at Jaguar of Saskatoon of the Vaughn Wyant Automotive group and has remained in the city ever since, accumulating only 85,000 kms in 17 years. It’s in spectacular condition and has just undergone some recent renovations including a full multi-stage professional polish, complete professional detailing, and new wheels and tires. The factory wheels are still included, but the staggered 20” Syndicate gloss-black and mat-bronze wheels and 255 and 285 series tires bring the car up to date. On top of that, all of the chrome trim, badging, grille and side flank vents have been blacked out giving a monotone gloss black look across the whole car. It’s absolutely striking from every angle. The performance numbers back up the looks. Under the very European reverse opening hood is a 4.2-liter V8 with a Roots-type Eaton Supercharger and a 6-speed ZF automatic with paddle shifters. It makes 420 hp and 413 Lb-ft of torque and pushes the black cat to 60 mph in just under 5 seconds. Speed is limited to 175 mph (281 kph) meaning the car is capable of burying its speedometer needle. It’s thrilling to drive and the supercharger whine is intoxicating. Plenty of shove and a very exotic engine note at high rpm thanks to factory dual exhaust with quad tips. Luxury is the other thing that makes a Jag… a Jag. This car is equipped with dual 18-way powered bucket seats with 3-position memory for each, both are heated and very comfortable. Leather is everywhere - seats and upholstery along with lots of the dash and door panels all trimmed with nicely stitched leather. There’s also generous use of real wood on the dashboard and center console. The back seats look like they’ve never been sat in, and for good reason, they would only fit small children. The headliner is Alcantara and very luxurious. The Bowers and Wilkins sound system is remarkably clear and rich. There are power windows, locks, keyless entry with push button start, powered tilt steering column with memory, dual zone automatic climate control, cruise control, Power folding, powered and heated side mirrors, heated seats and steering wheel, along with a heated windshield featuring small defroster lines buried between the laminated glass across the entire width of the windshield. The infotainment system uses a touch screen and there’s navigation too. The car has Bluetooth for calls, but it’s unclear if the system will stream music from a phone. There’s rear parking sensors and rear fog lights. Up front are Bi-Zenon projector beam headlights with headlight washers and fog lights as well. The trunk is finished just as nice as the interior and features a large storage compartment.  Under the hood is well detailed, but plastic covers prevent a good look at the supercharger or engine for that matter. The original owner’s manual and booklets come with the car. With local history, killer looks and low kms, this hard-to-find European grand-touring car is just waiting for it’s next adventure, don’t miss out!
