1940 Pontiac Hot Rod
1940 Pontiac Arrow Sedan Hot Rod. This one featured in Canadian Hot Rods Magazine! Known as Night Prowler. One of the most unique vehicles we have here! Suicide 4-doors are super cool This was used as a daily driver up until it was brought to our showroom! In fact, the last owner drove it at least once every month of the year last year! The car rides on it's original chassis, modified for the acu-air system and includes a Mustang II front clip with power steering, custom front cross member with tubular upper and lower control arms up front, and custom trailing arms out back. There's a modern power brake front disc/rear drum set up. Under the hood is a 4.8 Liter LS out of a GM truck, sourced with approximately 160,000 kms on it in 2021. Behind that is a 4L60 E and a 10 bolt GM rear diff with 3.73 open gears. The car drives like a modern-day vehicle with the most head turning look you could ask for! Stripped to bare metal, then clear coated, it's obvious that this is one solid body. The build of this car is completely documented with receipts that total $160,000! The car appraised at $125,000 recently. At the price we're asking, it's a steal of a deal! All work was completed at Epic Rod and Custom in Calgary within the last 5 years. Everything from Interior work to exhaust, to driveline, cooling, fuel supply, and air suspension set up is absolutely custom fabricated and professionally completed. Some of the highlights include a $4,900 hidden stereo that sounds great, and the original gauge cluster was sent away to classic instruments to get them to work with the new modern LS powertrain at at cost of $7,000! The interior of the car is very comfortable and features power locks on all doors with keyless entry, car alarm and remote key fob. windows are still manual crank. The factory heater works properly and the air ride system is programed well. It builds air quickly and operates seamlessly. All the chrome on the car was re-chromed and the Indian Chief head on the hood doubles as a hood ornament and hood latch! This is one of the most street-friendly hot rods we've ever had here, and one of the most killer builds. Watch for possible upcoming changes including new wheels, and we may strip it back to bare metal again and clear coat once more to get rid of the patina. No odometer on the car, milage is unknown, but it's a fresh build and a proven driver.
