1969 Stingray
1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray in all black. This one is on every Corvette Collector's list! Canadian documents show the only options were tinted windows, 4.11 posi rear axle, power brakes along with the L71 427 cu. in. spec Hi-performance tri carb - 435 hp V8 and M21 close ratio 4-speed manual. It would have come with red -stripe tires and the brown Saddle Vinyl interior, which has been changed during restoration to Black, with Velour/vinyl combination bucket seats. Paint and body work completed in Alberta in 2005, after the car was a "barn find" and had been in storage for a long time. The engine is not factory but was a replacement block (when it was replaced is unknown). In 2005, that replacement engine was rebuilt when it had 98,000 miles on it. Since then, it's only tacked on another 6500 miles. True milage cannot be guaranteed but is believed to be 104,000 miles. During rebuild it was confirmed that the heads, carbs, intake all have correct casting numbers. New stainless exhaust and new fuel tank were added at the time. Restoration also in included new interior quarter panels, sun visors, front to back carpeting, door panels, seats, arm rest, floor mats and window/T-top weather stripping. The car was restored back to the correct Tuxedo black, and pictures of the work are included with the car. Currently the car does not have the factory hood, but we're working on finding one. Factory center caps are included with the car too. Hard to find an all-black tri-powered 427 Stingray, but here it is! Currently the car is slated to go through the shop for mechanical inspection and will be getting detailed shortly.
