1968 Chevrolet Camaro 327 - Powerglide - Numbers Matching!
$ 59,990
1968
Chevrolet Camaro Coupe. This is one of the most detailed restorations we’ve had
in the showroom. The car underwent a rotisserie restoration in the US before
being imported into Canada in 2011, but you’d swear it was done just yesterday.
During the process the car was stripped to bare metal and repainted in factory
Y-Y Butternut yellow. The paint is rich and creamy and now silky smooth thanks
to a recent polish. Chrome, bright work and trim are all top notch. This is
technically a base car, but it features some incredible factory options! The
interior was completely redone in the restoration process with new houndstooth
upholstery, carpets, headliner and restoration on the console and dash. All of
the interior lights work as they should, and this car features a tilt column,
buckets and console, deluxe seat belts with shoulder harness, plus air
conditioning right from factory and it blows nice and cold. An older
aftermarket Camaro branded cassette/radio has been added in the factory spot on
the dash. The door molded door panels are excellent. Getting into this car is
like stepping into a brand-new Camaro on the lot in ’68. This car still sports its
numbers matching 327/210 hp V8 with matching 2-speed power glide automatic, but
both have been rebuilt. As you can see in pictures, the numbers on the block “330299”
match the last 6 digits of the VIN! It starts up and drives just as well as you
can imagine. Thanks to the factory ordered power steering and power brakes, the
driving experience is sublime. Just a hint of rumble from the little V8 with
impeccable road manners. About 1500 miles have been driven since restoration
according to the previous owner. The car shows 73,000 miles and it’s believed
to be original. Factory 15” Rallye rims with beauty rings wear 215/65/15 BF
Goodrich Radial T/S tires with plenty of tread. The trunk finish is just as
good as the rest with a new trunk mat, jack and tire iron and matching spare
wheel with what appears to be the factory bias ply spare tire! Under the hood
is incredible. All the correct replica hoses were used in the restoration and
there was high attention to detail during the finishing process. Even the hood
insulation is new. If you’re looking for a turnkey fully restored first
generation Camaro with lots of factory options, look no further, this is the
Camaro for you! Previously licensed in Alberta.
